The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in kashmir was set up in 2007 with the big vision to increase floriculture tourism in Kashmir under the government of Ghulam Nabi Azad. First, the garden was developed on 90 acres of terraced land at the foot of the Zabarwan Range in Srinagar, with a view of the famous Dal Lake. It is maintained by the Jammu & Kashmir Floriculture Department. It has become the Aisa Largets Garedn and has more than 1.5 million tulips, with 70+ varieties imported from Holland and the Netherlands.

The annual Tulip Festival in Kashmir, held in this Garden in Srinagar, which was introduced as a part of the garden strategy, focuses on bringing thousands of Indian and international tourists to the Kashmir valley.
